File this under: Things You Should Never Do In Your Entire Life. It’s surprising that in this day and age an adult male would do this, but I guess you should never be shocked by anything in the world we live in.
A lady who calls herself Snuffalo shared her story on the website Mumsnet. She said she was having terrible menstrual cramps at work, and “My sort-of-supervisor* we’ll call Guy comes over to talk to me about something, notices the hot water bottle, says “there’s no way you’re cold today, are you?
” I say “um, no, just for the pain relief”. He looks confused and then literally horrified and then he walks away..” Snuffalo shares why she opted for the hot water bottle below.
She then learned, to her shock and awe, that the guy actually reported her to HR. An HR rep (in another office) messaged her – “Guy says you’re not well and should go home, everything OK?” Alright, maybe a small misunderstanding? Snuffalo will explain what’s up and HR will kindly chuckle at Guy’s gross exaggeration of what was, in reality, a non-issue. Nope….
