After an expiration date of January 1 was posted on the Friends Netflix page, fans went up in arms, fuming on social media and starting petitions to keep the series on the streaming service. Thankfully, Netflix has confirmed that the sitcom will remain available to stream throughout 2019—but after that, things get murkier.
Friends first hit Netflix in 2015. The sitcom’s enduring popularity has made it one of the streamer’s most important licensing deals.
