When we implant microchips into our pets, it’s to find them if they become lost, because dogs and cats are unable to tell someone their address. Chipping humans, on the other hand, opens up an entirely different can of worms. Implanting an ID chip under an employee’s skin is becoming more and more common among tech companies.

The chips can control door locks, time logs, and even vending machine purchases. A worker will never forget her work ID, but neither can she go anywhere without it.
