“True Detective” is finally, offically, really back.
The anthology series will return for a third season, HBO announced Thursday.
“The next installment tells the story of a macabre crime in the heart of the Ozarks, and a mystery that deepens over decades and plays out in three separate time periods,” the network said of the show.
Oscar winner Mahershala Ali will star as Wayne Hays, a state police detective from Northwest Arkansas.
