A New Jersey police officer left a $100 tip on an $8.75 check for a young waitress who’s expecting her first child.
Courtney English, 23, who is seven months pregnant, was waiting tables at the Lamp Post Diner in Clementon, NJ, when the officer sat down for a salad and a glass of water.
Courtney believes the officer overheard her conversation with another customer when she told them that it was her first baby and she would be out of work soon.
It wasn’t until the officer left the diner that Courtney saw the tip amount and a note that read “Enjoy your first. You will never forget it.”
