An 11-year-old pit bull named Sadie is being hailed as a hero for saving her family from a gas leak in their Tuckahoe, New York, home.
The Tuckahoe Police Department received a call about a barking dog on the loose. When police arrived, Sadie guided the officers back to her home.
“The dog then ran and took the officers through several streets, and then lead them back to the dog’s residence into the backyard,” police Lieutenant Lawrence Rotta said.
