NASHVILLE, Tenn. —
Five teenagers have been charged with homicide Friday in the death of a 24-year-old singer outside of his Tennessee home after an apparent botched robbery attempt.
Kyle Yorlets, who was a front man for the Nashville-based band Carverton, was approached by the kids Thursday afternoon, when they took his wallet and demanded the keys to his car, according to a press release from the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.
Police believe Yorlets was fatally shot after he refused to give them his keys.

The group then drove away in a stolen pickup truck, police said.
Yorlets’ band was working on their second album, according to reports.
