Top 5 Bingeable Netflix Shows You Need to Start NOW

With the majority of us safely stuck at home during quarantine, there’s a lot of boredom to go around. In fact, it seems like just about everyone is on the same page since Netflix streaming time is estimated to be up more than 60% since the start of most stay-at-home orders according to Nielson data.

This begs the question, what should you watch?? Luckily, there’s something for everyone in the family. From deep dark dramas to gut-wrenching documentaries, you won’t go content hungry.

With so many new originals and classics being uploaded and featured on Netflix on a weekly basis, we decided to list that top trending shows you’ll have no problem binging.

Ozark

Starring Jason Bateman who previously had us used to a much goofier main character as Michael Bluth in Arrested Development. Don’t get used to it for long, Ozark is a whole new ball game. Playing a serious and awkward Marty Byrde who finds himself relocating his entire family from a Chicago suburb to the Lake of the Ozarks region in Missouri.

Why you may ask? Well, poor Marty got himself (and his family) involved with a dodgy money-laundering scheme for Mexican cartels that he is having difficulty disentangling himself from. The atmosphere, heavy with suspense, guilt, and plot twist after plot twist is often and easily compared to Breaking Bad. Ozark is currently one of Netflix’s most popular shows and is now into its third season.

Leading Cast: Jason Bateman, Laura Linney, Sofia Hublitz

Tiger King

It was released on Netflix on March 20, 2020. The series focuses on the small but deeply interconnected society of big cat conservationists like Carole Baskin, owner of Big Cat Rescue, and collectors such as Joe Exotic, whom Baskin accuses of abusing and exploiting wild animals. Honestly, this show is one of the craziest things that you will watch and will make you rethink the entire exotic animal industry.

It’s a must-watch for fans of the original series and will leave you wanting more after each episode.
