Butter cookies—also known as Dutch biscuits—are delicious, crispy cookies that are quick and easy to make. Even better, the recipe only uses pantry staples! Use a cookie press to turn the dough into beautiful shapes or roll the dough into a log and cut classic circles.

- 2 Measure 1 cup (225 g) of butter and 1 cup (200 g) of sugar into a mixing bowl. White sugar works best for making butter cookies, however, if you only have raw sugar, use that instead. If the butter has been in the fridge, leave it on a plate at room temperature for 30 minutes to soften. This will make it much easier to mix.[2]
