HOUSE OF CARDS on Netflix. Robin Wright leads the sixth and final season of Netflix’s troubled political drama after Kevin Spacey was ousted amid allegations of sexual misconduct last year. The last season ended with Wright’s character, Claire Underwood, taking over as president of the United States from her disgraced husband, Frank Underwood (played by Spacey).
This season will show how she fares amid new company, including Diane Lane and Greg Kinnear as Koch-like siblings vying for influence. The first episode begins with Claire hearing reports of online threats being made against her, a sign of the passionately divided fictional America she now leads.THE OTHER SIDE OF THE WIND (2018) on Netflix. When Orson Welles began shooting “The Other Side of the Wind” in 1970, he could hardly have imagined that most audiences would first see it 48 years later, sent to them in ones and zeros over a “streaming service” with about 130 million paying customers.
