2018 iPhone X: Price, Specs, Design, Size Drive Rumors

The next flagship iPhone will one-up the current iPhone X on design, size, features, and price.

Apple’s largest phones are its best phones. That’s always been the case: they pack the most cutting-edge tech, best specs, and, of course, the highest price.

That won’t change in 2018.

Size:

A gush of rumors over the last few months all point to Apple’s largest phone yet: a 6.5-inch-class iPhone X-style phone (in addition to an updated version of the 5.8-inch X).

(Below I will focus solely on the rumored 6.5-inch iPhone.)

A recent report from the Japanese blog Macotakara* provides a mockup of the larger X showing the future design squeezing a 6.5-inch-class OLED display panel into a chassis only a little bigger than that of the iPhone 8 Plus, though slightly thicker (about 0.2mm). (See this render at iDrop News.)

That alone should be enough to wow the Apple faithful. A 6.5-inch iPhone is massive by Apple standards and fits the description of “phablet,” a phone big enough to take on tablet-like characteristics. But Apple’s design ethos for the X — to keep it as compact as a bezel-free design allows — should make it wow-worthy.
