When a shooter opened fire on a country music festival back in October, mother-of-two Jovanna Calzadillas was shot in the head. The 30-year-old was taken to a Las Vegas hospital where doctors gave her husband Frank a dire prognosis.
The bullet had struck the side of her brain that processed speech, resulting in a “non-survivable injury”.
They said that it would be best to take Jovanna off of life support and donate her organs.Frank, who works as a police officer in Salt Lake, then had a life-changing dream in which Jovanna visited him and said that everything was going to be okay. The vision inspired him to ignore the doctors’ advice.
Four months later, Jovanna is speaking, eating, and even taking small walks…
