Hundreds of people flocked to the Pittsburgh park Mac Miller paid tribute to with his 2011 debut album to mourn and remember the rapper, who was found dead in his Los Angeles home Friday. He was 26.
Nightfall Records, a recording label based in Miller’s hometown, is hosting a public vigil at Blue Slide Park, a playground area in the city’s Frick Park.
“We would like to bring the city together in full force for this legendary icon,” the label said on Facebook when it announced the gathering. “Mac deserves to be sent off with an evening of celebrating his life, discussing his struggles, and remembering his stories; most importantly for his iconic work that brought joy into the lives of everybody who listened.”
