Fake news? Let Jennifer Aniston tell you all about it, as she considers herself a prime victim of “ridiculous” headlines that spread faux stories about how she’s “pregnant three times a year.
”Now Hollywood’s leading celebrity media critic is back in the headlines of her own accord, promoting a new movie with a cover interview in the September issue InStyle magazine. And to make sure there is no nastiness, her interrogator is her pal Molly McNearney, wife of another good friend, Jimmy Kimmel.
Together, they gab about her new movie (the beauty pageant-based comedy/drama “Dumplin’ “ based on a book of the same name), her thoughts about workplace sexual harassment and #MeToo and her new favorite exercise (boxing). She also dishes on her “Friends” reunion fantasies and how the NBC comedy was “the best job I ever had.” And course, there’s a smattering of exasperation over the sexist and inaccurate way she’s covered by celebrity media outlets.
First some setup: “I met Jen (don’t roll your eyes at me — that’s what we call her) in my kitchen about six years ago when my husband and I invited our friend Justin (Theroux; they’re now split) over for pizza with his new girlfriend,” McNearney writes. “I was expecting pretension (that’s on me). I got authenticity and real connection. She was immediately warm, like an old friend. She’s magnetic like that. No boundaries, no (rubbish) and a lot of laughing.
