Country-pop act Rascal Flatts and an Indianapolis-area concert venue are citing a concern related to security and safety in explaining an abrupt end to their concert there Thursday.
But the nature of those security and safety issues remains unclear.
As the 24,000-capacity Ruoff Home Mortgage Music Center prepares to host Jeff Beck, Paul Rodgers, Chicago and REO Speedwagon this weekend, the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating what led to the hurried evacuation of Rascal Flatts fans when Thursday’s multi-song encore was expected 15 minutes before an 11 p.m. curfew.
“As this is an open and active investigation, the sheriff’s office has no further details, including the type of safety issue, available for release at this time,” spokesman Bryant Orem said Friday in a midday statement.
