Brett Kavanagh has never testified before a Senate committee and he’s never been accused of sexual assault, but he has had a very, very exhausting couple of weeks.
As Donald Trump’s Supreme Court nominee, Brett Kavanaugh, dominated headlines, the 27-year-old clothing store supplier from Kentucky said he was mistaken for the politician on Twitter one too many times.
“I had a couple of beers and I was like ‘You know what, I’m just going to throw this out there,’” Kavanagh told the Louisville Courier Journal. “I thought to myself, ‘This is a terrible time to be named Brett Kavanagh.”
So he tweeted this exact thought, and it went viral. “It was literally like a machine gun,” Kavanagh said. “It was like my phone caught a virus. It was constantly vibrating.” As of this article, over 1 million people have liked his tweet and more than 165K have retweeted it.
