Five Georgia recruits have already sent in their letters of intent and officially become Georgia Bulldogs. The Early Signing period begins on Wednesday and ends on Friday. Over the next three days, prospects in the 2019 recruiting class can sign with a letter of intent, and thus locking them in with a school.
Georgia enters the early signing period with the nation’s No. 2 overall class in the country. Below is a list of announcement times, commitments and signees regarding Georgia’s 2019 recruiting class. There is also a positional breakdown and geographic breakdown and live updates throughout the day.
Early Signing Day: Georgia football live updates
The Bulldogs enter the day with the No. 2 overall class, led by a nation-best four 5-star commitments. Only Alabama has a better recruiting class, but Georgia can close a lot of ground and possibly add three more 5-star recruits. The first of those 5-star prospects to announce will be running back Trey Sanders, who is the nation’s No. 1 overall running back. He will announce his commitment at 1:20 p.m. ET and DawgNation will be live on the scene.
8:10 a.m. — Georgia announced all two of its JUCO signees in Jermaine Johnson and DJ Daniel along with 5-star prospects Clay Webb and Dominick Blaylock. Webb, the No. 1 center in the country, is already on campus and practicing with Georgia. Johnson and Daniel are also already practicing with Georgia. Blaylock, a 5-star wide receiver, fills a huge need for Georgia. He will enroll in May.
7:45 a.m. — Three more names are now official as 5-star defensive tackle Travon Walker, 4-star offensive tackle Xavier Truss and 4-star offensive tackle Warren McClendon are now officially in the class. Walker is a massive get for Georgia, as he fills a massive need at the defensive tackle position.
And with two more offensive linemen in the class, Georgia offensive line coach Sam Pittman let out a big “Yessir.” Georgia could possibly add one more offensive lineman on Wednesday, as 5-star offensive tackle Evan Neal is set to announce his decision. He is picking between Georgia, Alabama and Miami at 2:45 p.m. ET.

7:15 a.m. — The first recruit to send in his letter of intent is none other 5-star defensive end Nolan Smith. He is the nation’s No. 1 overall player according to the 247Sports Composite rankings, and was also Georgia’s first commitment in the 2019 class. He did take a look at other programs, such as Alabama, but he remained committed to Georgia throughout the process. The IMG Academy standout could be the first of a IMG players to land with Georgia today, as 5-star prospects Evan Neal and Trey Sanders announce their decisions.
