Uber executives have faced repeated accusations of turning a blind eye to sexual harassment and other corporate misbehavior. During that time, more than 20 people have been fired or left the company.
One quarter of Uber’s traditional C-suite jobs are unfilled, not to mention several other senior-level positions. And Mr. Kalanick, who has overseen the company since its founding in 2009, said that he will be taking a leave of absence for an undetermined period of time.
