The Spider-Man: Homecoming star took the stage after winning Choice Summer Movie Actress, and Zendaya’s Teen Choice Awards speech delivered some much-needed words of wisdom to fans. “Thank you so much, this means so much to me,” the actor began, looking out at her screaming fans.
But Zendaya didn’t limit herself to simple gratitude. Instead, she decided to use her speech to speak directly to young viewers.“Spider-Man is about a young person and so right now I want to talk to all the young people in the audience right now,” the actor said. “With all the injustice and hatred and everything that is happening right now in the world and in our country… I need you to listen and pay attention… You have a voice and it’s OK to use it when you see something bad happening.”
