For peanut butter lovers, few things are as satisfying as a thickly-spread peanut butter sandwich washed down with a cold glass of milk.
Jelly provides a tasty – but optional – layer of flavor, texture and fruity complexity. However, as simple and adorable as this wholesome, filling snack seems, there are a few obstacles to deal with.
The bread, in particular, can be difficult to work with, especially if you have selected a softer variety of sandwich shingle. The pieces can tear under the pressure of the thick PB as applied by a knife. Then, there’s the knife…have one handy? No? Wow. No sandwich for you.
