It is no longer “business as usual” to say the least. During the COVID-19 pandemic, there is nothing as usual.

You may find yourself working from home – with or without children to care for – or find that many of your customers have shut down operations, so you’re wondering what to do with this “found time” in your schedule.

This could be an ideal opportunity to address the items on your business “to-do” list that you ignored for too long. Here are seven ideas to help you take back a little control in your business and prepare for when things go back to the new “normal.”

 1. Check Out the Competition

Go online and competitors “creep” you. what are they doing? What new products and services they offer? What are they saying?

You do not want to copy what they do or say – but this could be the ideal time to find out how you can stand apart.

2. Review Your Website and Other Marketing Materials

Is it time to update? Often, making a new or updated content for your business is pushed to the backburner when you bring in new customers or work to deepen relationships with existing clients.

3. Update All Social Profiles

Make sure your profile to share the results you deliver and does not read like a resume looking for work. And make sure your profile is accurate to where you are now. Share your achievements. Share your story.

4. Update Your Presentation

If you are a speaker or coach, go through all your presentations and give them a deep refresh. Statistics change. the way we do things change. Make sure your presentation reflects your industry changed.
