If there was any question that Prince Harry has a sense of humor about being the world’s most popular redhead, just look to his perfect response to one curious royal fan.
On Friday, Harry and fiancée Meghan Markle embarked on their first official royal outing as a couple, visiting Nottingham for a trip to the National Justice Museum and the Nottingham Contemporary, an art center hosting the couple in a celebration for World AIDS Day.
While greeting an enthusiastic crowd of fans in the town center, Harry, 33, was asked by one cheeky red-headed well-wisher what it’s like to be with someone like Meghan “as a ginger.”
“It’s great isn’t it,” Harry said with a smile.
“Unbelievable,” the fan joked back.
“Unbelievable!” Harry responded with a laugh.
Meghan wasn’t in ear-shot of the question, having moved away from her husband-to-be to greet crowds on the opposite side of the street. But the Suits actress, 36, remained in good spirits throughout the trip — greeting well-wishers with kindness and making a point of introducing herself to them by saying “Hi, I’m Meghan.”
She was handed many bunches of flowers by her fans, which she passed over to an aide to hold.
Among the lucky people getting a quick chat was Caroline Cartwright, who told Meghan she and husband Andrew were big fans of Suits. “I told her Mike [actor Patrick J. Adams] should be here,” Caroline told PEOPLE. “She said ‘I don’t think he would be today!’ She is just as beautiful as she is on TV. She is absolutely perfect, most wonderful and perfect for him.”
