Europe’s First Underwater Restaurant Is Here, and It Already Has Thousands Of Reservations

You can now dine at a fully underwater restaurant in Norway — provided you have around $430 and are willing to wait several months.

The underwater restaurant, appropriately named Under, is the first of its kind in Europe. It launched in March off the coast of Norway.

The menu features fresh seafood, and the intimate dining area offers a panoramic view straight into the sea itself. Under takes the idea of local food to the next level!

“Just on the other side of our iconic window – the ocean is bursting with fresh delicacies from the sea, so the journey from the kitchen to the plate is minimal,” Chef Nicolai Ellitsgaard explained.

Under is a story of contrasts; the contrast between the landscape and the sea; above and below. The project underscores the delicate ecological balance between land and sea and draws our attention to sustainable models for responsible consumption.
