- Response time. Few internet users wait for longer than 2 seconds for a page to load. Make sure the web hosting of your choice normally demonstrates decent load time. It’s not the only possible culprit, though: check your code for errors, update plugins and optimize content.
- However obvious it may be, consider the options you find affordable. Suspiciously cheap offers should be taken with a pinch of salt.
- Customer support. If problems occur, it’s convenient to have a team to help you out. Otherwise, you run the risk of having to pore over endless forum threads for hours on end.
While all the four are important, keep uptime in mind when choosing a hosting provider: there are ones out there that manage to keep it very close to 100% most of the time.
