Millions Expected to Tune In for Manchester Tribute Concert

Concert sold out in six minutes and generated approximately $2.6 million in sales.

Ariana Grande’s One Love Manchester concert for the victims of a May 22 terrorist attack will be seen in 40 countries, streamed across multiple digital platforms and broadcast on ABC in the U.

S. and the BBC in England.

Organizers say 140,000 fans tried to purchase tickets to the June 4 benefit concert led by Ariana Grande which will include performances by Justin Bieber, Coldplay, Katy Perry, Miley Cyrus, Pharrell Williams, Take That, Little Mix, Robbie Williams and Black Eyed Peas.

In total 45,000 tickets to the festival were sold and the event generated about $2.6 million in sales and could potentially raise millions more from viewers at home. Tickets were priced at £40 (about $51) and when they went on sale Thursday morning, the event sold out in 6 minutes.

Another 14,200 tickets are being held for fans who attended Ariana Grande’s May 22 concert at Manchester Arena, where a suicide bomber killed 22 people and injured more than 100.
